Rosalie Blue and White Porcelain Parrot Footed Decorative Bowl

A blue and white porcelain footed decorative bowl with parrot and flowering-branch motifs, the Rosalie parrot bowl brings a raised, open silhouette to an indoor arrangement. Its 14.5-inch width gives the illustrated interior room to be enjoyed, while the pedestal foot lifts the bowl above the surrounding surface.

Ideal for: Traditional and Chinoiserie displays that combine botanical illustration with a broad pedestal bowl.

Key Features

– Hand-Painted and Hand-Stamped Porcelain: The porcelain decoration combines hand painting and hand stamping, bringing individual variation to the pattern. This gives the piece a collected quality while keeping the blue and white palette consistent with coordinating ceramics.
– Parrot and Botanical Motifs: Parrots, flowers and leafy branches appear across the white porcelain. The blue illustration gives the bowl a recognizable animal detail while keeping the palette connected to coordinating blue and white vessels.
– Patterned Interior and Exterior: Decoration is visible inside the open bowl as well as around its sides and foot. This allows an unfilled display to show the artwork, while a small group of decorative fillers can leave part of the pattern exposed.
– Raised Pedestal Base: The foot gives the bowl a lifted profile and a distinct break between the vessel and tabletop. It can introduce a middle height into a group of low boxes and taller jars.
– Broad 14.5-Inch Size: The bowl measures 14.5 inches long and wide by 6 inches high. Allow room around the rim when positioning it on a console, coffee table or deeper shelf so the footed shape remains clear.
– Decorative Interior Purpose: Style the bowl as a porcelain object or with separately selected decorative fillers. The open shape provides room for a small decorative grouping while leaving the illustrated sides visible. Choose fillers separately to suit the surrounding textures and colors.

Care & Use

Handcrafted pieces vary in size and color. Dust with a dry cloth. Protect fine furniture by lining the interior of the pottery when necessary. Decorative interior use only.

Design & Atmosphere

The pedestal foot gives this parrot bowl a different outline from a simple low dish. Its open body is lifted above the surface, creating a visible base and a second curve below the broad rim. That raised form helps the bowl sit confidently between lower accessories and taller ceramic pieces.

Blue parrots and botanical details move across a white background. The illustration continues into the bowl, encouraging a view from above as well as from the front. Hand painting and hand stamping add variation to the pattern, while the restrained palette keeps the detailed surface cohesive.

A 14.5-inch width makes the bowl a noticeable part of a tabletop arrangement. Use a surface with enough depth to leave the rim clear and allow the foot to be seen. When pairing it with a jar, offset the pieces rather than placing one directly in front of the other.

The parrot motif adds character within a Traditional or Chinoiserie room. A matching parrot jar can repeat the subject at a different height, while simpler surrounding objects keep the illustration from feeling crowded. Wood and woven materials offer a warmer contrast to the porcelain.

An empty display shows the patterned interior most clearly, but a few decorative fillers can create another composition without hiding it completely. Keep the piece indoors and protect fine furniture as needed. Its combination of an open bowl, illustrated surface and pedestal base provides interest from several viewing angles.

The Curator’s Styling Tip

Pair the footed bowl with a taller parrot jar, leaving a gap between their outlines. Keep the interior mostly open so the bird and botanical detail can be seen from above.
